Learning together to be the best we can be.
Section 175 (S175) of the Education Act 2002 places a statutory duty on local authorities, governing bodies of maintained schools, and further education institutions to ensure that their functions are carried out with a view to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. As part of this process, schools are required to complete annual audits of their safeguarding processes to self-evaluate security in fulfilling their statutory duties.
To support schools in their self-review and to gain an independent insight, the purpose of safeguarding reviews are aimed to work with senior leaders in a bespoke approach, providing an independent view of the school’s safeguarding processes and identify through a forensic assessment of your current safeguarding culture, aspects of strength and areas for further development.
