    SEMH Outreach Consultancy

SEMH refers to a broad array of special educational needs based on a child’s difficulty regulating emotions and behaviour and as schools, teachers and parents gain more understanding of the connection between mental health and education - we can support leaders to understand how the current systems and structures can be adapted to empower all staff to apply a robust SEMH graduated response. We can offer bespoke training, consultation, advice and support in line with the intended outcomes for the school and work with the leaders in a safe, non-judgemental way to ensure the most vulnerable young people have their needs met within the educational setting.

Alongside leaders, we would aim to unpick the current SEMH and early intervention offer to support the development of an analysis and improvement plan. This could include identifying current strengths and improvements, analysing culture and inclusion, and supporting schools to upskill staff through training and practical ideas to attune with children's differing SEMH needs. SEMH support is about meeting the school where it is at and ensuring values of inclusion align with SEND code of practice and understanding changes to frameworks.
